Alan Marshall is a Vocalist, Songwriter, multi Instrumentalist and music Producer from Scotland living in Dublin’s Northside.
A new departure saw him recently complete the recording of his second studio album ‘A Beautiful Brawl’, released on the 2nd of May 2018 in Dublin’s Sugar Club. The rootsy Folk influenced album saw him collaborate with some of Ireland’s finest Musicians as well as a very special guest appearance from The Pogues Bassist & Vocalist Cait O’Riordan.
Alan released his first studio album ‘Suilven Heights’ in 2012 which was recorded in Hellfire studio and co-produced alongside Joe McGrath & Billy Hudson. The album was well received on the circuit and drew positive comments from media circles.
During this period he also worked alongside local Songsmith Mark O’Sullivan providing Bass and Vocals on the recording and production of Mark’s album and solo project ‘Goatboy’.
Alan was a founding member of Glasgow based band The Aerials. They recorded 2 EP’s in both Gravity & Maybank Studios performing many live shows around Scotland & Ireland including a sell-out show in Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.
Prior to writing his own material Alan honed his stage craft to audiences across Europe as he fronted a highly acclaimed tribute act to the Stone Roses. Some high profile gigs included a sell-out show in Glasgow’s famous Barrowland Ballroom, T In The Park & Oxegen festival appearances as well as many sell-out shows in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
